Born in 1930 in Beuren (after Suppan, brass dictionary) and Sigmaringendorf (after Wikipedia), he made his first experiences as a musician with a concert zither. Burger then learned to play the violin and trumpet. As a trumpeter he played at the local music club Sigmaringendorf until his professional departure to Schw\u00e4bisch Gm\u00fcnd. In Schw\u00e4bisch Gm\u00fcnd as well as in Bad Schussenried, where he moved in 1962, he founded various bands. He also played in the string orchestra of Biberach an der Ri\u00df for 18 years.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During this time he wrote more and more of his own compositions and finally founded his own music publishing company in 1975 with a focus on brass music. From 1980 the publishing house was successful enough for Burger to give up his main occupation and limit himself to publishing and composing.  (Wikipedia)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In collaboration with the composers and arrangers Harald Kolasch, Ferenc Geiger, Manfred Schneider, Adolf Angst and Peter Fihn, countless editions for brass music of various genres have been produced. In 2010 Alfred Burger gave up his publishing activities.
